Here's an interesting question someone asked last week:
Is there any way to neutralize a cup of coffee?
I enjoy having a small cup of coffee once a day. |
In my experience, one of the most important keys to having more energy, is to balance pH in the body.

I have my own personal set of symptoms; insomnia, fatigue, itchy skin, aches and pains, that seem to diminish, or go away entirely when my pH is balanced. If I stray from the program for too long, these problems begin to creep back in. So I've learned to master the alkaline diet and take my alkaline supplements.
Today there are many health experts, touting the health benefits of pH balancing.

There's a ton of questions people have, when you start talking about the Alkaline Diet. Let me clear up a few basic points.
The most important key is, - BALANCE. The entire universe functions best when it's in proper balance. The whole system of Chinese medicine is built on balance. We're starting to catch on here in America.
The trick is to get the right balance of alkaline foods and acid forming foods. Not too little of one, or too much of the other. Kinda like Goldilocks, just right. Theodore Brody, in his book, Alkalize or Die, recommends a diet of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming. Most experts on pH balancing are right in this same ballpark.
Would it be useful to eat 100% alkaline foods?
Actually it would be unhealthy. Your body needs both acid and alkaline foods. It needs both to thrive and maintain good health. It just wants the right balance.
Foods fall into one of two categories:
- Acid forming
- Alkaline forming
An important point to note: We are not talking about the pH value of a food BEFORE it is eaten, but AFTER.
Once digestion has taken place. After the digestive juices, stomach acid and enzymes have done their thing. What's leftover and floating around in the bloodstream is what we are referring to.
Lemons are the classic example. A week doesn't go by and somebody asks the question, "How can lemons be alkaline, when I know how acidic they are?" In fact the acid can sting, if it gets into a cut or your eyes.
Your body has different ways of getting rid of acid. It has a really easy time getting rid of the acid in the lemon. Breathing is one way you can unload weak acids. Since lemons contain weak acids, you can literally breathe away the acidity. You can improve on this process with mild exercise or deep breathing.
What's leftover is the alkaline minerals in the lemon.
So get your Alkaline Diet chart, bring it to the grocery store and load up on delicious, healthful, alkaline foods. And throw in a few things from the acid side of the chart. Watch for recipes and meal plans in our alkaline tips.

The pH of the body wants to be near 7.4. This is where the human body flourishes and thrives. An acidic condition in the body makes a welcome home for bacteria, viruses and cancer.
NCD can help balance the pH levels. Listen to Dr. David Kaplowitz interview, Rik Deitsch and learn about the detoxifying and pH balancing effect of Natural Cellular Defense.

Once the pH levels are balanced, the body becomes inhospitable to viruses, bacteria, even yeast, molds, and fungus.
