Strategies for Healthy Eating Kids
The best strategy is to get kids eating healthy as early in life as possible. Breast milk is the ultimate health food for a newborn. Especially if the mother has been taking care of herself by eating healthy.
I like to make sure we have some healthy foods around the house that the kids like. Apples are popular in our household. Our kids find baby carrots tasty too.
Once kids get well down the pathway of the Standard American Diet (SAD), things can get a bit more challenging. Patience and creativity is required. Sometimes "disguising" small amounts of healthy foods in other dishes works. It's worthwhile to keep introducing new foods, in different forms, until success is achieved.
