Hot Soup Season Print E-mail
This is the time of year when a delicious hot soup goes down good. Especially if you make it the alkaline way.

You really don't need a specific recipe, you can use ingredients that seem good to you. Just be sure to load up on the vegetables, most importantly the greens! Green foods are some of your best alkaline friends.

Here is a suggestion, modify to your tastes:

Alkaline Soup

Start with a large pot of alkaline water, add cut vegetables;
Celery
Kale
Carrots
Sweet potatoes
Turnip greens
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Onion
Green Beans

Juice of 1-2 lemons
A pinch of sea salt
Herbs and spices to taste, cilantro, parsley, garlic, ginger or any of your favorites

A modest amount of cut up chicken (preferably organic) or fish.

Simmer until well cooked

You can make a large pot and store smaller containers in the freezer. Heat up later for a quick meal.
